How Big is our Problem?
No, the question is how big is GOD?
Those Saints who have deep influences on those around them are often people who deeply believe God uses anyone and anything at anytime. They place no significance in the self, the scenery, willpower, ideas, problems or motivations. God is the one person magnified in their minds, everything else - less than. Our real problem in idolatry. Idolatry is simply looking to anything other than God as "higher than." Is your problem insurmountable, your failures, your sin? If this is what you believe then it it becoming an idol. Our talents and even our desire to be different can become a form of idolatry because the pursuit of our goal becomes more important than God. Let us turn ourselves to God this week simply because God is God, and that my brothers and sisters will one day be enough for us.
